HYBYCOZO‘s (The Hyperspace Bypass Construction Zone) sculpture Dodi was installed on June 29th, 2020 at 169 State Street in Los Altos. Dodi is part of a series of large scale installations and artworks that investigate geometric exploration through light, shadow, and perception. This piece is composed of overlapping circles forming petal shapes, it represents the creation of beauty through unity, a sum greater than the parts. The sculpture was inspired by the geometry of the flower of life, a symbol found in almost every ancient culture in the world, in plant and flower growth, as well as in the growing embryo during cell division. Dodi, a 6 foot-tall dodecahedron is a 12-sided shape composed of repeating pentagons. It is illuminated from within, with colored LED lights that produce intricate patterns on the ground surrounding the artwork.
HYBYCOZO consists of artists Yelena Filipchuk and Serge Beaulieu plus an assortment of expert fabricators, handlers, installers. HYBYCOZO creates, fabricates, and installs artwork throughout the world.
