Nora Bruhn’s mural, Floral Therapy, was completed September 23rd, 2020 at 138 Main Street in Los Altos. The subjects of this piece are three realistic, cascading peonies. The artist focused on the beauty of their form, color and texture. The piece depicts how light is captured by flowers and the huge scale gives the artist the opportunity to share this quality with the public. Peonies represent beauty, growth and longevity as they can live to be up to 100 years old. This relates to the artist’s wish for a strong, lasting community culture in Los Altos. The mural is approximately 20 feet tall and 6 feet wide.

Nora Bruhn is a Bay Area based painter and muralist.
